A 20 year veteran at crafting wines, I've kicked dirt, drug hoses and stacked barrels in California, France and New Zealand. Though I've worked with a host of wineries, winemakers, varieties and vineyards, my career has mostly been Carneros rooted and focused on the Burgundian varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The launching of my eponymous label allows me to entertain more fully my zest for Pinot and its almost unparalleled ability to, chameleon-like, express its origin. Further, it will also allow me to scratch a few other itches, such as jousting (perhaps ill-advisedly) with the impossibly difficult grape, Nebbiolo. In essence, it's a canvas that will allow me to explore that strange and uncomfortable notion we call terroir, through these rare, single vineyard offerings.
